Dr. med. Julia Plaha

Specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery

“My goal is to record your complaints functionally and structurally in order to treat them sustainably.”

Dr. med. Julia Plaha

Julia studied human medicine at the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg and at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid.

She then completed her practical year at the University Hospital in Freiburg. She took the opportunity to familiarise herself with other medical care structures and went to Moshi, Tanzania, for the surgical tertial.

Julia was fascinated by the enormous potential of regenerative therapy approaches from an early stage and completed her doctorate in the field of adult mesenchymal stem cell-assisted bone regeneration as part of the tissue engineering concept in 2014.

She completed her training as a specialist in orthopaedics and trauma surgery at the Trauma, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery Department of the Ortenau Clinic in Offenburg and the Orthopaedics and Spinal Surgery Department of the Loretto Hospital in Freiburg.

As an enthusiastic mountain sportswoman, Julia took part in numerous sports medicine and sports orthopaedic training courses at an early stage alongside her work as a doctor.

Due to the valuable diagnostic and therapeutic supplement, she began further training in manual medicine and expanded this with in-depth knowledge and skills in trigger point therapy according to R. Gautschi.

Most recently, her clinical focus was on the conservative and surgical treatment of injuries and diseases of the hand. Julia would like to incorporate her knowledge and experience in this area into your treatment.

Her aim is to work through your complaints in a structured manner in order to treat them sustainably and effectively and to introduce preventative measures.

This often requires a change in the areas of physical activity, diet and lifestyle.

Julia would like to accompany you empathetically and comprehensively on the way to your personal goal.
